North Male Atoll 2016 July 16th, Second dive: Vabbinafaru (North)

Spectacular macro detail of a sea star shrimp as well as some Batfish were rounded up by a huge puffer.

We spent quite a while in very stormy weather to swim out across the sand to the drop-off north of the island. Poor visibility did not help to find photo subjects but the fact that we were on a self-dive meant I had ample time to take a decent macro of a sea star shrimp. If you look closely, you can even make out the legs.
